No matter how orderly the Germans try to be, their country is far too picturesque not to seduce us who hike and cycle. Here you'll find everything we love: romantic villages, fairy-tale castles, lakes, rivers, forests and vineyards. They're also excellent at signage, which gives hikers and cyclists an extra advantage. Everything is close to us and accessible even by train or car.
