Discover one of Europe's most beautiful river valleys with pleasant cycling on excellent cycle paths. The route is flanked on one side by the Mosel's calming waters and on the other by romantic villages and towns, medieval fairy-tale castles and breathtaking steep vineyards. If you like crisp Riesling there's no more refreshing way to round off the day's cycling, but this nature and culture-rich destination is not just for wine lovers.
Here all moderately active cyclists with a taste for the good life will thrive. The cycling follows a well-marked cycle route, mostly completely car-free or with sparse traffic – and an unpaved road through a nature reserve. You roll through cozy small towns like wine town Bernkastel-Kues and Koblenz (where the Mosel meets the Rhine) and your imagination will surely be stirred by magnificent castles and fortresses like Riechsburg and fairy-tale castle Eltz. After each day's stage you check in at small hospitable inns or slightly finer four-star hotels, which you choose in advance.

Visit the magnificent Saarburg castle with its beautiful view over the valley.
