Epic Trails offers individual travel experiences on foot and by bike where you either travel on your own or with a private guide just for you and your travel companions. This means this becomes your trip your way, and that you get even closer to the destination and its people. We are with you from planning to execution and pre-book accommodation, luggage transport and bikes, as well as provide you with excellent materials to follow along the way. You can also add flights and tempting add-ons. A smooth way to travel in complete freedom!
Self-Guided trips
Freedom and flexibility
The majority of our trips are self-guided, and at Epic Trails we specialize in making it easy for you to travel in complete freedom. You choose when to travel, we pre-book hotels and luggage transport and give you excellent materials to follow, plus a 24-hour service phone.
Compared to a group trip, a self-guided trip is:
- Flexible - travel whenever you want and adapt the content
- Guaranteed - the trip will never be cancelled due to few participants
- Secure - we are always there in the background
- At your pace - no need to wait or rush, and stay as long as you like
- More affordable - it's significantly cheaper to travel just as nicely
- Social in a different way - you get more natural contact with locals and travelers from other countries when you're not in a group
Guided trips
Safe, enjoyable and comfortable
On special trips you travel with a guide, without sacrificing flexibility or the fact that this should be your holiday. Here you get a deeper and more comfortable travel experience, with a guide who leads the tours, shares their knowledge about the destination and handles the practicalities. For the best connection to the destination, we use local English-speaking guides.
Guided trips in two ways:
- Private guide - On most of our guided trips it's still just your travel party and no group - but a local guide leads the tours. We do this at destinations where it's impractical to go on your own or where the destination deserves extra depth.
- International group - On some trips you travel in a small group with participants from different countries and a local guide. This way we can offer the most exotic travel experiences while also broadening horizons together with fellow travelers from around the world and a native guide.

An exclusive departure to one of our destinations
Are you a company, an association or a group of friends who want a trip just for you? We offer benefits for groups of 8 people or more and can adapt one of our programs to your wishes. We can also add flights, meals and a guide if you wish. Call or email us for a proposal!
