On this active river cruise, you follow the Havel and Oder between Berlin and the Baltic Sea coast onboard the beautiful MS Princess. You cycle through forests and the distinctive river landscape of the Lower Oder Valley, visit the Polish city of Szczecin, and continue out towards the seaside resorts and beaches on the Baltic Sea islands of Usedom and Rügen. Along the way, you encounter baroque castles, brick Gothic architecture, and North German seaside resort architecture. Between the bike tours, you can settle down on the sun deck and watch the landscape slowly glide by before it's time for the next cycling stage. Welcome to Berlin and the start of a wonderful cycling week where the hotel follows you all the way to the Baltic Sea. You arrive on your own and are welcome aboard MS Princess from 4:00 PM. Feel free to arrive earlier and take the opportunity to get a first taste of this pleasant city. Take a walk along Kurfürstendamm, explore Nikolaiviertel by the Spree, or visit Brandenburg Gate. As is well known, the possibilities are nearly endless in the German capital. In the evening, a welcome gathering, a three-course dinner, and the first night on board await.
Easy to moderate cycling in mostly flat terrain, with stages of 15–48 km. You cycle mainly on car-free bike paths, small country roads, and asphalt, but gravel, sand, cobblestones, and shorter hills also occur. Before each stage, a briefing is held onboard and you navigate using digital directions and GPS tracks in an easy-to-use app. Travel documents and language onboard are in English and German. Route and times may change depending on, among other things, water levels and conditions along the waterways.
MS Princess is a comfortable smaller river cruiser, renovated in 2024 in a bright and fresh style, especially for cycling trips. Onboard there is a restaurant, lounge, and sun deck. All 49 cabins face outward, are approximately 10.5 m², and have their own bathroom, air conditioning, TV, and two separate beds. On the lower deck there are Twin cabins, Twin Eco cabins, and Twin Eco Comfort cabins. Eco means they are located closer to the engine room where noise may occur during navigation, and Comfort is slightly larger (11.5 m²). The cabins on the upper deck have openable panoramic windows.
