Land ahoy! Or rather, land and sea by turns. On this bike and boat trip, you discover Zeeland, the Dutch landscape literally shaped by water. MS Normandie becomes your floating hotel while during the day you pedal through an almost pancake-flat landscape of dikes, beaches, sand dunes, small towns, and vast waters.
The trip starts in Rotterdam and takes you to historic gems such as Zierikzee, Veere, and Middelburg. Don't miss Zeeland's specialties: fresh mussels, oysters, and lobster from the Oosterschelde. In the evenings, dinner and a cozy cabin await you on board MS Normandie. You cycle on your own at your own pace, while the boat handles the transport between the stages. A wonderful combination of cycling holiday and cruise!

Welcome to Rotterdam! Boarding the MS Normandie takes place from 4 pm. If you arrive early, you might have time to discover the city's spectacular market hall, Markthal, with its colourful ceiling painting. At 6 pm we cast off and cruise towards Dordrecht, one of the Netherlands' oldest cities. It is beautifully situated on an island where three major rivers meet. A lovely first evening on board awaits, with dinner and time to get acquainted with the ship.
Level and standard
Easy cycling in an almost entirely flat landscape, mainly on nice bike paths and easy-to-cycle roads. The six cycling days are approximately 35–60 km long, averaging around 43–46 km per day depending on the chosen route on day 5. Exact elevation gain is not specified, but the climbs are minimal. However, strong headwinds can make the cycling more strenuous. Suitable for those with basic to normal fitness. Epic Trails level 2 takes into account the length of the stages despite the very easy terrain.
Comfort – MS Normandie is a pleasant, smaller river cruise ship with an informal atmosphere. All cabins are outside cabins with their own bathroom, air conditioning, TV, hairdryer, and safe. The twin cabins are approximately 10–11 m². On board there is a restaurant, a panorama lounge with bar, and a sun deck. Cabins are located on the lower and upper decks; the windows can only be opened on the upper deck.
