Two of Europe's most cycle-friendly countries await on this classic cycling journey from Amsterdam to Bruges. Over eight days you pedal along canals, over bridges and through a landscape of polders, windmills and green pastures. The route is lined with some of the Netherlands' and Flanders' most beautiful cities – Gouda, Dordrecht, Willemstad, Zierikzee, Middelburg and Damme – before the journey ends in fairytale Bruges.
Most of the cycling takes place on excellent cycle paths and quiet country roads, making the journey both relaxing and easy to navigate. Along the way, UNESCO-listed windmills, national parks, historic city centers and coastal landscapes where the sea constantly leaves its mark await. With luggage transported between hotels, you can focus on what's most important – enjoying the cycling, culture and the many pleasant cafés along the way.

The journey begins in one of Europe's most vibrant and bicycle-friendly cities. Amsterdam is known for its UNESCO-listed canals, narrow canal houses and rich cultural life. Feel free to arrive early in the day so you have time to discover the city's many attractions before the adventure begins. Stroll along the tree-lined canals, visit one of the city's world-famous museums or settle down at a café and enjoy the atmosphere. Here awaits the perfect start to a cycling trip through two of Europe's most classic cycling countries.
Level and accommodation
This is a fairly easy cycling trip that suits most people with normal fitness. The stages mainly go on car-free cycle paths and quiet country roads through an almost completely flat landscape. The daily stages average approximately 55 km with very small elevation differences, making the trip ideal for you who want to combine comfortable cycling with culture, nature and good food rather than physical challenges. E-bike is available as an option to make the trip even more enjoyable.
You stay at carefully selected 3- and 4-star hotels with private bathroom and breakfast included. The trip is offered in two accommodation categories. Comfort consists of affordable hotels that sometimes are located a bit outside the city center. Charm offers more central hotels with higher comfort and nicer environments. Regardless of category, hotel combinations may occur depending on availability.
