Hiking Transalp: E5 Oberstdorf - Merano

This is a full-fledged alpine hike with daily stages of 4–6 hours. Several sections go at high altitude and require good fitness, sure footing and some altitude experience. The first two days are clearly alpine; thereafter there are sometimes alternative, easier routes in the valley and the possibility to shorten certain stretches with local transport. You need to have good fitness and experience with mountain hiking.

During the hike you stay at selected hotels and guesthouses that reflect the character of the region – from traditional alpine villages to elegant South Tyrolean valleys. Choose between Comfort with comfortable 3-4* hotels with good comfort and genuine alpine feel, or Charm with 4* premium hotels with more design, larger spa and extra culinary touches.
