Treat yourself to an in-depth exploration of the world's most beautiful mountains with a hut-to-hut hike between cozy mountain huts. Here you're offered spectacular hikes in a magnificent nature reserve with dramatic mountains, snow-dusted peaks and idyllic valleys with wild flower meadows.
The Dolomites are a unique trilingual part of Italy with rich flora and fauna. This hiking trip starts in Plätzwiese and you walk across the Fanes-Sennes nature park to San Vigilio di Marebbe. The accommodation is beautifully located along the route and a packed lunch to take on the day hikes is included.
The hikes are of moderate to challenging character, between 3 to 7 hours per day. You combine point-to-point hikes with circular walks from the alpine huts, giving you the opportunity to adapt the hiking week and add rest days if you feel like it.

Arrival and check-in at your accommodation. In the northern part of the Plätzwiese plateau (Prato Piazza in Italian) you have one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Dolomites. The plateau is surrounded by mountain peaks and you have a fantastic view over Dürrenstein, Croda Rossa, the Tofane massif and Monte Cristallo.

Level and standard
Moderate to challenging mountain hikes on well-marked trails. Basic experience and good fitness are recommended. Most tours can be extended or shortened. The elevation differences vary between days, and the descent towards San Vigilio can feel especially long. Several stages offer easy loop walks or alternative routes.
You stay at family-run guesthouses and alpine huts with warm hospitality and rustic charm. Simple, cozy comfort in a nature-close setting where the mountain air, the stars and the homely atmosphere make the evenings just as memorable as the days' hikes. The huts in Sennes and Fanes have shared bathrooms.
