Arrival in the beautiful city of Dijon. Take the day to explore this captivating city, where medieval charm meets modern French elegance. Wander through the narrow streets lined with elegant architecture – from impressive Gothic churches to stately Renaissance buildings. Dijon is also known for its rich culinary heritage, particularly its world-famous mustard and local delicacies. Make sure to enjoy the flavors of Burgundy at a traditional bistro, preferably with a glass of the region's classic Pinot Noir or Chardonnay.
The cycling trip is of moderate difficulty and suits you with basic fitness and experience with longer tours. You cycle mainly on small country roads and agricultural tracks, sometimes on more trafficked roads. In Provence there are more hilly stages, especially between Avignon and Vacqueyras.
You can choose accommodation standard. If you choose Standard you stay at simpler 2** hotels and equivalent B&Bs with stripped-down, affordable comfort. Comfort means charming 3*** hotels with a little extra convenience. Breakfast is included all days and provides a lovely start.
