France's perhaps most distinguished cycling region is called Alsace, with several so-called Véloroutes. It is also one of the country's most charming areas, whose symbol consists of half-timbered houses, glittering canals and of course beautifully rolling vineyards. On this trip you get to experience both the postcard parts and lesser-known corners. The journey goes through cultural-historical cities like Strasbourg and Colmar and small wine villages where you are met by the inhabitants' friendliness, traditions and of course delicious wines of Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris and Riesling.

Explore the beautiful cathedral in Strasbourg, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture.
Visit the picturesque square in Colmar, where colorful houses line the canals.
Cycle through the historic wine villages of Riquewihr, known for their fantastic wines.
Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in Sélestat, home to one of the oldest libraries in Alsace.
Experience the charming town of Obernai, with its well-preserved medieval town center.
Select Your Program Variation:
You cycle mainly on cycle paths, smaller agricultural roads and small roads with little traffic, making the journey calm and enjoyable. The stages vary in length with the possibility to choose shorter or longer alternatives. Day 5 and 6 are somewhat more hilly but fully manageable.
This trip can be exactly as comfortable as you want, with four different choices for hotels or Chambres d'hôtes with pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast is included every morning for a good start. Other meals are not included, but along the way and in the towns there are plenty of restaurants to choose from.
