Hiking in the Northern Cotswolds

Walk between the most beautiful villages in the North Cotswolds and discover with your own eyes why this is classed as an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty". The hike takes you through a pastoral, rolling landscape with grazing sheep, horses, and cows. Unlike the long-distance trail The Cotswold Way, this tour runs in a circle from Moreton-in-Marsh past gems like Bourton-on-the-Water, Winchcombe, Stanton, Broadway, and Chipping Campden before returning to Moreton. Here the focus is on easier walking, cozy villages, and pub culture.

You pause and stay in honey-coloured villages of varying sizes and have the opportunity to experience the cosy atmosphere of the English countryside with local pubs, tea rooms, beautiful gardens, and historic landmarks. The hike begins in Moreton-in-Marsh, a market town with good connections from London (about 1 1/2 hours by train).
