Explore the heart of Scotland on foot. Discover the history, castles, lakes and rivers of Highland Perthshire on this short week in what is undoubtedly one of Scotland's most beautiful landscapes.
Blair Atholl, located by the River Garry, is the base for your first two nights. Blair Castle and the walks offered in the area are of the highest quality.
Then you walk via Killiecrankie and Ben Vrackie to Pitlochry where you spend the last two nights of the trip. Be sure to also visit Edradour which is Scotland's smallest whisky distillery or head up Ben Vrackie which is the area's highest mountain.

Arrival in Blair Atholl and check-in at your first accommodation. Blair Atholl offers beautiful surroundings and a rich history.
NOTE - As Blair Atholl has limited accommodation, it may be necessary to stay overnight at Old Manse of Blair which is located just outside Blair Atholl, about a 45-minute walk from Blair Atholl's center. We will then provide taxi transfer to Old Manse of Blair from Blair Atholl on your arrival day and to the beginning of your hike day 3.

Level and standard
The walks are easy to moderate along well-marked trails and vary between 7-14 km. These are relaxing tours that let you enjoy at your own pace and discover historical attractions, from castles to Jacobite battlefields. Some days offer flexible arrangements and choices. It is very worthwhile to do these fantastic walks, but if you wish you can take local transport to get between places and avoid the longer walking days.
On this trip you will stay at hand-picked 3* and 4* B&Bs, guesthouses and hotels. The accommodations are selected for their charm and comfort, perfect for relaxation after the day's walk. Packed lunches can usually be ordered from the accommodation, and dinner is available at nearby pubs or restaurants.
