Welcome to Scotland at its most spectacular! On this hiking trip you combine three legendary islands: Skye, Harris and Lewis. Start among the Cuillin mountains' jagged silhouettes and hike along Skye's dramatic coastline, to the crystal-clear Fairy Pools and through the distinctive landscape around The Storr. Then take the ferry westward to the Outer Hebrides, where the pace slows and the horizon expands. On Lewis, windswept coastal trails, historic sites and the lighthouse at the very tip of Butt of Lewis await. The finale is hard to beat: chalk-white Luskentyre Beach and a substantial hike along old trails across Harris's solitary moorland. Transfers and ferry tie the adventure together, while small B&Bs, guesthouses and hotels provide Scottish hospitality in the evenings.

Make your own way to Broadford on magical Isle of Skye, where the journey through the Inner and Outer Hebrides begins. Ahead of you lies a week that moves from the rugged Cuillin mountains in the south, through Skye and onward across the sea to Harris and Lewis. Settle into your B&B, guesthouse or hotel for two nights. Broadford is beautifully situated by the sea, and from the bay open views stretch towards the small islands of Pabay and Scalpay. Take a stroll, find a cosy pub and rest your legs – tomorrow the walking begins in earnest.
Level and standard
Moderately demanding hiking on coastal trails, moors, old routes and occasionally uneven terrain. The ground can be wet and muddy, and the Scottish weather naturally adds its own spice. The hikes are 6–23.5 km, with moderate elevation changes. The longest day is relatively long, while several other days are considerably easier. Normal fitness and some hiking experience are recommended.
You stay in small and personal accommodations, primarily B&Bs and inns, sometimes a smaller hotel. The standard corresponds to about three stars, with a focus on good value, good food and a warm welcome. Accommodations vary depending on availability and may be replaced with equivalent alternatives. Unfortunately, this trip cannot be booked by solo travelers.
