Beyond the glamour, there is also a rich trail network where you can explore mountain peaks, forested valleys and traditional villages, each with its unique character. The old paths that cross the mountains on the western side of Lake Como have been transformed into well-marked trails with wonderful views over the landscape - perfect for the recreational hiker.

Arrival and check-in at your hotel in Menaggio. If you arrive early, you can do one of the shorter hikes in the program. You can also visit the small towns and viewpoints on both sides of the lake or the beautiful gardens Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo and Villa Melzi in Bellagio.
Level and standard
The hikes are of easy to easy challenging character and vary with your choices. Expect pleasant trails with fine views. Day 3 may feel more demanding with longer distance and clearer elevation differences, while day 4 offers optional tours that can be adapted.
You stay four nights in Menaggio at a 3-star hotel, perfect as a safe base between hiking days. Choose between Comfort with city view or Comfort with lake view and let Lake Como's tranquil atmosphere frame the evenings after the day's experiences.
