Cycle in the birthplace of the Slow Food movement through the famous wine regions of Barolo, Gavi and Barbaresco. The journey goes over gently rolling green hills with snow-capped mountain peaks as a beautiful backdrop and a castle on every hill. Enjoy the local delicacies such as chocolate, cheeses, salami and truffle. Or why not the garlic-heavy but oh so delicious dish Bagna cauda. One might not need to point out that the food and drink experience is a large and important part of this area, and you will get many opportunities to taste some of the best wines from Italy.
During the week you visit the picturesque towns and villages of Asti, Alba, Acqui Terme and Casale Monferrato. Along the way you will see beautiful rolling landscapes with vineyards and outstanding views.

Accommodation in Alba
The cycling is of moderate character with some challenging sections. Cycling experience and good fitness are required to enjoy the trip. Little shade means it can get hot, especially in midsummer. The terrain is hilly, and some days offer longer climbs.
Very good accommodation at selected 3-4 star hotels and agriturismos where breakfast is included every day. Here comfort is combined with local charm, and the welcoming atmosphere provides pleasant recovery after the day's cycling - Something that enhances the experience from first to last day.
