Day 1: Arrival in Alba

Day 2: From Alba - To Benevello via Barolo - 48 km +900 m / -600 m

Today you cycle around Alba, the main town in Langhe and famous for its hazelnuts, peaches, white truffles and top-class wines. Visit the historic city center. The tour continues through the Barolo area, where you pass numerous vineyards which is perfect for spontaneous stops. The day continues through rolling green landscapes and ends with a climb that is worth the effort. Once in Benevello you can look forward to high-class and comfortable accommodation at a recently renovated historic farm.

Day 3: Round trip from Benevello via Cossano Belbo - 31 km +600 m / -600 m

Today's cycling is a round trip from Benevello.
You can choose between 2 different tours: a tour where you explore the nearby area of Cassano Belbo.
Alternatively a longer tour where you visit the highest located village in the Langhe area - Mombarcaro. On this tour you are surrounded by fantastic views and get a challenge in making your way up to the village which is located at about 1000 meters above sea level.
A tougher challenge or the opportunity to take it easy and perhaps visit vineyards, you choose yourself.

Day 4: From Benevello - To Acqui Terme - 50 km +800 m / -700 m

Today you have a calm, relaxing day stage to look forward to to Acqui Terme. You will follow the Bormida river for most of the day, and the stage is relatively flat. Take the opportunity to stop at some of the old villages along the way. Once you arrive in Acqui Terme you can enjoy Italian shopping, the old town or take the opportunity to relax in the spa.

Day 5: Round trip from Acqui Terme via southern Via Ponzone - 34 km +850 m / -850 m

Today you can again choose between 2 different round tours:
A tour where you have the chance to visit the renowned wine villages Fontanile, Alice Bel Colle or Strevi. Enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants and taste some of the local wines.
Alternatively the southern tour, which is somewhat longer and a bit tougher and takes you to Ponzone. Experience beautiful views and enjoy a coffee along the way.

Day 6: From Acqui Terme - To Asti - 53 km +850 m / -900 m

Today's stage takes you to Asti, which is known for its sparkling wines. You pass many vineyards while cycling through the green rolling landscape. Once you arrive in Asti you can clearly see its ancient history, several parts of the city date back to the Roman Empire. Here there are many restaurants and cozy alleys.
