This multifaceted and colorful region is made for exploring by bike. The trip combines a green and rolling inland with a beautiful and varied coastal landscape: cliff coast, sandy beaches and the vast Atlantic. The cycling starts in the surf mecca Biarritz and takes you all the way into Spain. Then the journey continues inland over lush hills in an unforgettable landscape with typical white-red half-timbered houses. Explore villages and small towns like Sare, Ainhoa and Ixassou where the cultural richness is great.
And if there's something the Basques take seriously besides cycling, it's food! Let yourself be tempted by the local dishes, several of them spiced with pepper from Espelette.

Arrival in the elegant seaside resort of Biarritz, where the sea air meets the salty waves of the Atlantic. You stay at a four-star hotel and receive all necessary travel information and maps. Biarritz is known for its long beaches, surf culture, thalassotherapy and golf courses. In the evening, restaurants, bars and squares with life and movement await.
Level and standard
The cycling is of medium character in gently rolling terrain, with daily distances of 20-50 km. If you choose the 7-day trip, stages 4 and 5 have greater elevation differences.
Accommodation
Accommodation at carefully selected 3- and 4-star hotels or charming chambre d'hôtes, with a warm, personal atmosphere. Breakfast is included every morning and two dinners are included during the trip - pleasant moments to relax and enjoy local flavors after the day's cycling.
