This multifaceted and colorful region is made to be explored by bike. The trip combines a lush and hilly inland with a beautiful and varied coastal landscape: rocky coastline, sandy beaches and the vast Atlantic. The cycling begins in the surfing mecca of Biarritz and takes you all the way into Spain. The trip then continues inland over lush hills in an unforgettable landscape with typical white-and-red timber-framed houses. Explore villages and small towns such as Sare, Ainhoa and Ixassou, where the cultural richness is great. And if there's one thing the Basques take as seriously as cycling, it's food! Let yourself be tempted by the local dishes, several of them spiced with pepper from Espelette.

Arrival in the elegant seaside resort of Biarritz, where the sea air meets the salty waves of the Atlantic. You stay at a four-star hotel and receive all necessary travel information and maps. Biarritz is known for its long beaches, surf culture, thalassotherapy and golf courses. In the evening, restaurants, bars and squares with life and movement await.
Level and standard
The cycling is of medium difficulty on lightly hilly terrain, with daily distances of 20-50 km. If you choose the 7-day trip, the stages on days 4 and 5 have a greater difference in elevation.
Accommodation at carefully selected 3- and 4-star hotels or charming chambre d'hôtes, with a warm, personal atmosphere. Breakfast is included every morning and two dinners are included during the trip - lovely moments to relax and enjoy local flavors after the day's cycling.
