A cycling trip through the landscape where the Dordogne, Garonne and Atlantic meet to form Europe's largest estuary. You cross the Médoc peninsula where you cycle along the wine route and experience some of the world's most famous wine châteaux.
Then the ferry takes you across the Gironde where you meet the producers of Cognac and Pineau. The journey also gives you the opportunity to experience historic castles, Romanesque churches, caves and unique Gallo-Roman sites as you travel through the varied landscape with its vineyards, forests, cliffs and wetlands. Stop at picturesque harbors, villages and towns along the way and let yourself savor the local gastronomy.

Arrival to Bordeaux train station or airport and transfer to the hotel in Pian Medoc. At check-in you receive information materials and route descriptions for the cycling trip. The bicycles are also available for pickup at the hotel.
Accommodation in Le Pian Medoc
Level and standard
Mostly easy cycling on flat terrain on quiet country roads or cycle paths, with cycling distances usually 40-60 km per day. Several stages offer shorter or longer variants. One day around Charente is more hilly with some climbs, but the pace is optional.
You stay at charming 3*** hotels or cozy B&Bs, with breakfast every day and several included dinners. End your cycling days in comfortable luxury, recharge your batteries in peaceful environments and enjoy pleasant evenings that give you energy for the next stage.
