On this center-based hiking trip you stay six nights in the genuine fishing village of Salema and discover a new side of Portugal's dramatic southwest coast every day. You hike along golden limestone cliffs, through fragrant scrubland and to some of the country's most iconic viewpoints. The highlights are many: the wild Vicentina coast, Europe's southwesternmost headland Cabo de São Vicente, the spectacular rock formations at Ponta da Piedade and the lush mountain world in Monchique. The tours are relatively short and easy to hike, which leaves plenty of time for swimming, good food and relaxation by the sea.

Welcome to Salema, one of the Algarve's most authentic fishing villages. After check-in, there's time to stroll along the beach, settle down at an outdoor café, or simply enjoy the ocean view. You'll stay here for all six nights and can comfortably unpack your bag, making the trip extra convenient and relaxing.
Level and accommodation
This is an easy hiking trip with daily stages of approximately 9–14 km and normally 200–400 meters of elevation gain. The terrain varies between coastal paths, gravel roads and simple hiking trails. The tours suit you with normal basic fitness who want to combine scenic hikes with plenty of time for relaxation and your own discoveries.
Accommodation
The trip is offered with two accommodation levels. The Comfort option is a nice mid-range hotel near the sea. The Charm option offers higher comfort with more generous facilities and a more exclusive accommodation environment. Common to both is the excellent location in Salema, where restaurants, beach and village life are within comfortable reach.
