Meet at the airport and private transfer to Tavira (30-40 min). Tavira is one of the most beautiful towns in the Algarve, located on a hill by the small river Gilão. Depending on your arrival time, you can visit the old town, which was founded by the Phoenicians and fortified by the Moors during the Middle Ages. The narrow streets and squares reveal the Lusitanian charms in the facades and gardens.

Level and standard
Moderately difficult hikes, usually 3-5 hours with moderate ascents and descents on each stage. Day 2 offers a choice of shorter or longer route in Ria Formosa. The summit ascent of Picota is somewhat more demanding, but you are rewarded with great views and lovely variation.
Accommodation
You can choose between two accommodation standards, Standard or Charm, and breakfast is included every morning. Standard: charming hotels and guesthouses with 2-3* that provide good value and comfort. Charm: nice hotels and guesthouses in 3-4* standard for extra comfort.
