Explore Algarve's secrets on an eight-day hiking trip. Start your adventure with an arrival in Faro, followed by a transfer to the picturesque town of Tavira, a town that carries a thousand-year history and charm. Explore Ria Formosa Nature Park, an untouched environment where land and sea meet in harmony and attracts thousands of migratory birds.
The journey then leads to the Monchique massif, where Caldas de Monchique Spa resort offers relaxation and scenic views. From here you reach Picota peak, a place that offers panoramic views over western Algarve.
Your journey then takes you to Sagres, where you hike along coastal trails and visit the historic Sagres fortress. End your adventure at Cape Saint Vincent, Europe's southwesternmost point, where spectacular views and a sense of adventure await. Accommodation in Tavira
Level and standard
Moderately difficult hikes, usually 3-5 hours with moderate ascents and descents on each stage. Day 2 offers a choice of shorter or longer route in Ria Formosa. The summit ascent of Picota is somewhat more demanding, but you are rewarded with great views and lovely variation.
You can choose between two accommodation standards, Standard or Charm, and breakfast is included every morning. Standard: charming hotels and guesthouses with 2-3* that provide good value and comfort. Charm: nice hotels and guesthouses in 3-4* standard for extra comfort.
