If you really want to experience authentic Sicily, you head to the remote Madonie mountains - with pleasant ending in Cefalú with its quintessential Mediterranean atmosphere. The area is characterized by 2000-meter peaks and ancient villages and traditions. This is the mafia's homeland but the people have actively put the dark history behind them and proudly care for their natural and cultural treasures. The hiking is rewarding with extensive views and stops in small villages that stand like eagle's nests on the steep slopes. The ending in Cefalú offers well-deserved swimming and relaxation.

Arrive in Sicily and breathe in the warm island breeze and the aroma of the unique local flora. If pre-booked with us, a private transfer takes you from the airport to your accommodation in Petralia Sottana, in the southern Monti Madonie. Enjoy your first dinner at a local restaurant of your choice and taste the many flavors of the delicious regional cuisine.

The hikes are medium to lightly challenging in mountain terrain, with relatively short stages that still offer ascents and descents. The whole thing invites a pleasant pace with a fine balance between activity and enjoyment in a varied landscape.
All accommodations on this trip are unique and vastly different, from small town hotels to typical Sicilian farms, with personal atmosphere and genuine feel. All rooms have private bathroom.
