Hiking in Cilento National Park & Paestum

Campania's most genuine and unspoiled area lies some distance south of the famous Amalfi Coast. Cilento's varied landscape with its special coastline that winds through bays has been a national park and UNESCO World Heritage site since 1991. It is also one of the world's blue zones, with more centenarians than elsewhere. Along the coast you experience a wild beauty with cliffs that plunge into the sea and fragrant pine forests and ancient olive trees that stretch all the way down to the wide sandy beaches. Under the pine trees, a rich and colorful vegetation spreads out with myrtle and prickly pear cactus.

During the hike you visit some of the most beautiful old towns such as Santa Maria and San Marco di Castellabate, Marina di Camerota and Acciaroli, as well as Paestum which is one of Europe's best preserved temple areas.
