Isle of Wight offers a lovely short week on bike. This trip suits you who are looking for a somewhat easier cycling tour that offers a good mix of both city and countryside. Almost half the island has been designated an area of 'Outstanding Natural Beauty'. The distances are quite short which gives you time to stop and explore. The route is rolling and there are some hills but nothing particularly difficult.
You start in the old coastal town of Ryde - the island's largest town. From here you cycle through mixed terrain and pass among other places Quarr Abbey, Osborne House and Cowes. After the beaches in the north, the road leads you inland through forest and farmland to the old town of Yarmouth. You continue along an old railway line to Freshwater Bay. If weather permits you can follow Tennyson Trail to Brighstone and into the island's shipwreck capital - Chale.

Discover the beautiful Quarr Abbey with its peaceful atmosphere.
Visit the impressive Osborne House, former home of Queen Victoria.
Experience the charming harbor town of Cowes with its lively atmosphere.
Cycle along the scenic Tennyson Trail towards Brighstone.
Enjoy the spectacular views at Freshwater Bay.
