Cycling in southern Tuscany

The daily stages are not too long and of medium difficulty in hilly terrain. Some cycling experience and reasonably good fitness are required to enjoy the trip. There is little shade along the roads, which can make it hot, especially in the middle of summer. The Montalcino loop can feel tougher, but a shorter variant is available.
