Coastal Walk in Cornwall - Penzance to Mevagissey

This is a different, exciting hike in an untamed and relatively remote part of the long-distance trail South West Coast Path. From Penzance the route heads south towards the very tip of the Lizard peninsula before turning north to Falmouth and finally Mevagissey.

It takes you along the high cliff coastline past peaceful, tranquil bays with golden sandy beaches, lovely small fishing villages and whitewashed cottages. The view is incomparably beautiful throughout the entire hike and the fresh sea air is invigorating to breathe in.

The mild, pleasant climate in this part of England means that nature shows itself from its very best side with many unusual, wild flowers. Birdlife is rich and if you're lucky you might even see the occasional grey seal sunbathing out in the turquoise-blue sea.
