This is a different, exciting hike in an untamed and relatively desolate part of the long-distance trail South West Coast Path. From Penzance the tour goes south towards the outermost tip of Lizard Point and then turns north to Falmouth and finally Mevagissey.
It takes you along the high cliff coast past tranquil, peaceful bays with golden sandy beaches, lovely small fishing villages and whitewashed cottages. The view is incomparably beautiful throughout the entire hike and the fresh sea air is beneficial to breathe in.
The mild, pleasant climate in this part of England makes nature show itself from its very best side with many unusual, wild flowers. The bird life is rich and if you're lucky you might even see occasional sunbathing grey seals out in the turquoise blue sea.

The hikes are of medium to lightly challenging character on well-marked coastal paths. The cliff coast offers frequent ascents and descents. Some longer daily stages occur, which together with the terrain requires good endurance and steady pace, but rewards with magnificent views.
You stay at hotels, guesthouses or B&Bs of 3-4* standard where breakfast is included every day. On site you can easily book a lunch package for the hike, with a good selection of sandwiches, snacks and drinks to take with you during the day.
