The island rises dramatically from the Atlantic with steep coastal cliffs leading up to the volcanic peaks in the center. Deep ravines, the so-called barrancos, cut through the landscape and ensure that life here is still characterized by tranquility and a slow pace, far from the paths of mass tourism.
One of the island's greatest treasures is its unique vegetation. In Garajonay National Park you'll encounter ancient laurel trees covered with moss, reminiscent of a tropical rainforest. Here hiking trails wind through forests, over heights and along the coastline with views that take your breath away.

Arrival at Tenerife airport and ferry crossing from Los Christianos to San Sebastian on La Gomera (optional). Check-in at the hotel where you receive detailed hiking maps for the week's hiking.
Accommodation in San Sebastian
Level and standard
Medium to lightly challenging hikes through Garajonay National Park and between Chipude, Vallehermoso, Hermigua and San Sebastian. Some stages offer longer distances and clear descents, rewarded with views towards Teide. Alternative, shorter routes are available for tougher days, especially towards the end.
Accommodation at 3*** hotels in San Sebastian and at small, family-run hotels and guesthouses. All rooms have private shower and toilet. Breakfast is included every morning - a lovely start before the day's hike, with personal atmosphere and comfortable relaxation after active days.
