The French Pyrenees National Park is a dream for anyone who loves hiking and magnificent nature. On this trip, we take you from Cauterets to Gavarnie, through a landscape where every view looks like it's taken from a painting. Among other things, the hike leads you to Vignemale, the highest peak in the French Pyrenees at 3,298 meters, with breathtaking panoramic views over mountains, valleys and glaciers.
Experience a unique blend of rugged peaks, lush alpine meadows and dramatic glacial valleys, while passing through charming mountain villages with local character. Every step on the trail offers spectacular views and a feeling of standing right in the middle of nature's own cathedral.

Arrival and check-in at your hotel in Cauterets. Depending on what time you arrive, you have the opportunity to take a shorter hike on Chemin des Cascades – a delightful trail lined with six rushing waterfalls that follows Gave du Jéret up towards Pont d'Espagne.

Level and standard
The hikes follow good trails and paths, in varied and at times rocky terrain. The pace is moderate but requires some experience and steady footing. Some stages are longer with clear ascents and descents, particularly around Marcadau and on the way towards Gavarnie. The reward is spectacular views.
A mix of hotels and guesthouses, with a personal atmosphere and warm hospitality. Breakfast and dinner are included every day, so you can focus on the hike and enjoy local flavors in the evening. Relaxed, comfortable accommodation suited to the active traveler.
