The mythical GR10 stretches over 415 km from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean and offers spectacular mountain landscapes with great variations. During the hike you encounter different regional cultures, from Basque to Catalan, and each area has its unique charm.
The first stage, from Hendaye to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, takes you through French Basque Country. Here await green hills, rich flora and fauna as well as magical villages like Sare and Ainhoa, where Basque tradition and authentic culture permeate everything.

Arrival in Hendaye, on the border with Spain and about 30 km from Biarritz. Check-in at the hotel. If you arrive early, you have the opportunity to do a first circular walk of 5 km and explore the nature area Domaine d'Abbadie.

The hikes follow good hiking trails and paths through varied, often rocky terrain with both ascents and descents. The hikes are of moderate character and suit you with some hiking experience. One of the days offers a choice between shorter or longer distance depending on energy.
Accommodation
Accommodation in hotels, B&Bs or guesthouses with 2-3* standard. Simple but comfortable comfort that provides pleasant recovery after the day's hike. Breakfast is included every day for a good start, and dinner is included every evening except on arrival and departure days.
