Enjoy magnificent and breathtaking views on this self-guided hiking trip in Georgia's fantastic Kazbegi area. You explore the magical Juta Valley on foot and experience the impressive Chaukhi massif up close. You also hike through the colorful and unique Truso Valley, known for its spectacular travertine formations in orange, white, and red.
During the tour, you do a two-day hike to the mighty Gergeti Glacier and stay overnight in the exciting mountain lodge Altihut, located at a full 3014 meters altitude, with spectacular views of the majestic mountain Kazbegi. The tour is fully adapted to your own pace, with light daypacking and the opportunity to stop and take as many photo breaks as you want to capture nature's beauty.
You stay at a family-owned hotel in Stepantsminda, one night at Altihut, and in the capital Tbilisi, where west and east meet.

An active lifestyle and experience with longer day hikes are needed. A few longer stages and a glacier day may feel more demanding, but the reward is magnificent views. Suitable for hikers who want a challenge without technical alpinism.
