Sierra de Guara in Aragon is a true gem off the beaten path, with its dramatic ravines, charming mountain villages and rich cultural heritage. Here time seems to have stood still, and you are met by peaceful atmosphere, picturesque villages and flourishing flora – a place where nature and history meet in the best way.
Day by day the hike leads you through millennia-old history with prehistoric caves (UNESCO World Heritage), Romanesque chapels and ancient trails that generations have walked before you. The sunny climate creates perfect conditions for vineyards, almond and olive groves that terrace the slopes and give the landscape a genuine Mediterranean character.
Along the trails you encounter fragrant lavender, thyme and rosemary, and each day ends with cozy accommodation where you can enjoy local flavors and perhaps a glass of Somontano wine – a perfect way to celebrate Aragon's beauty, history and quiet charm.

Arrival to the charming little mountain village of Alquézar and check-in at your hotel. Alquézar is an oasis surrounded by terraced cultivations and irrigation channels. The rich local architecture represents both its Christian and Moorish heritage.

The hikes are of easy to moderate character and follow varied trails with both shorter and slightly longer stages. Elevation differences occur on certain days. Some stages offer alternative routes, where you can choose a calmer variant or a more challenging tour depending on your daily condition.
Accommodation
You stay at small, family-run hotels with private shower and toilet in the room. Breakfast is included every day, and additionally three dinners and three lunch packages are included. Comfortably and simply arranged so you can focus on the experiences between stages.
