Sierra de Grazalema is a green, mountainous area surrounded by picturesque villages with whitewashed houses such as Grazalema, Montejaque and Ronda. Here you hike in a beautiful landscape with limestone cliffs and deep ravines.
At lunchtime you reach a village where you can recover over some tapas on an outdoor terrace in the shade. Continue the hike through untouched countryside with its beautiful color palette, its cork oak forests and olive groves. Explore Pueblos Blancos with exotic Moorish names like Zahara de la Sierra and Cortes de la Frontera, which remind of the constantly fluctuating borders between the Arabic and Christian kingdoms that ruled in the region.
On this trip it is also fine to hike with a dog. Please specify breed and size of your dog when booking. Additional costs may apply on site.

Travel to Andalusia's famous white villages, Pueblos Blancos, and arrive at the charming whitewashed village of Grazalema. The village sits at 830 meters altitude and will be your home for the next two nights. If you arrive early, you can take the opportunity to do a short hike up to the top of Peñon Grande, or enjoy tapas at a local bar and start getting into the exotic Andalusian atmosphere.
Accommodation in Grazalema
Level and standard
Moderate hiking along wide, well-marked trails with daily stages of about 3-7 hours. Several days offer alternative loops, so you can choose a gentle start or more challenge. A longer transfer day may be experienced as somewhat more demanding, mainly due to the distance.
Accommodation
You stay at small, family-run hotels of 2-3-star standard in the charming pueblos blancos. Simple comfort and personal service characterize the stay. All rooms have shower and toilet, and a good breakfast every morning provides a pleasant start to the day's hikes.
