Kefalonia, located in the Ionian Sea just north of Zakynthos, offers a cycling trip that combines scenic views and authentic experiences. The journey starts from Mousata in the southwest and Agia Efimia in the northeast, before you finish with a final stage to the capital Argostoli.
Along the way, dramatic cliffs, lush greenery, idyllic bays and beaches in all shapes await – from golden sand to barren stone beaches. You cycle on coastal roads with expansive sea views and can almost feel the atmosphere from Captain Corelli's Mandolin.
Stop to taste the local Robola wine together with the island's inhabitants and round off the trip in lively Argostoli – a perfect ending to a journey filled with nature, culture and taste.

Level and standard
Mostly paved country roads with some short gravel sections. The cycling days are moderately challenging with varied terrain and some longer climbs. The stages are between 20 and 62 km. Some days offer a longer loop for those who want to challenge themselves.

Comfortable accommodation at 3*** hotels or equivalent B&B, with private bathroom with shower and toilet. Breakfast is included every day, so you start the cycling day rested and satisfied. Simple, pleasant and well adapted for an active holiday.
