Cycling in Rhodes

On this cycling trip you explore the northern and central parts of Rhodes – the largest island of the Dodecanese. From the saddle you get to experience another side of this popular destination: small villages far from the tourist trails, local wines and olives as well as the mild Mediterranean climate.

The stages vary from pleasant coastal roads to more challenging stretches through mountain areas. The landscape surprises with its diversity – green pine forests and mountain villages in the interior coexist with deep blue sea views and picturesque fishing villages along the coast. Along the way you also encounter several historical sites that remind of Rhodes' rich past.

The island played an important role in the ancient world, something you see traces of in Kamiros and Lindos. In Rhodes town, where you stay two nights, a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with charming alleys and history awaits – and from here you also make a memorable cycling excursion to the small neighboring island of Symi.
