Accommodation in Ambleside
This trip is moderate to strenuous, with daily walks of approximately 19-22 km. You move over varied terrain: rocky mountain sections, some boggy areas as well as paths along lakes and in forests. Some stages, especially days 3, 4 and 6, can be experienced as extra demanding. In wet weather the paths can become muddy and boggy, so it's important to be prepared for this and ensure you have suitable waterproof hiking equipment and sturdy hiking boots.
Charming Bed & Breakfast, guesthouses and country inns with personal feel and local character. A hearty breakfast is served every morning. Most accommodations are happy to provide packed lunches on request which can be booked upon arrival, perfect for the day's hiking and nature experiences.
