Karpathos, the second largest island of the Dodecanese, lies between Crete and Rhodes. Here await dramatic mountains, pine forests, olive groves and lush valleys – a paradise for both nature lovers and those who want to encounter a culture where traditions still live strong.
The journey begins in the small harbor of Diafani in the northern part of the island. From here you take a boat to the hidden bay of Forokli and hike further through valleys and ancient Vroukounta up to the village of Olympos, where the inhabitants still wear their traditional costumes today. One of the trip's highlights is the hike from the central mountain peaks down towards the wild west coast. The trip ends in Lefkos, where you can enjoy the sea and beaches.
