Majella National Park is an impressive limestone massif located in the Abruzzo region not far from Rome and the Adriatic coast. The area is a paradise for nature lovers with endless forests, flower-filled meadows and green mountain slopes where sheep graze.
Majella National Park is a unique wilderness environment with ravines and rivers in a mountain area with 30 peaks over 2000 meters high. Here in Europe's southernmost alpine environment there is 22% of the continent's flora which means over 2100 species of plants.
Charming ancient villages, Romanesque churches and solitary hermitages make the experience complete. In this national park you also have wildlife that is rare in Europe, such as otters playing in the water, bears, lynx and golden eagles spreading their wings.
