In Sardinia's southwestern corner you'll encounter Costa Verde – the green coast, where dramatic nature and thousand-year-old history go hand in hand. Spot flamingos in the lagoons, discover the Genoese roots on the island of San Pietro, roll through a ghost town with baroque gates in Tratalias, relax on pink sand beaches, marvel at ancient nuraghe and explore everything from caves to the Roman mosaics in Nora. The abandoned mines in UNESCO's Geopark stand as a monument to humanity and nature in harmony, while the wine world looks here for Carignano – the hardy grape that crouches close to the ground, survives on almost no water and is still cultivated at home by families.

Experience the fantastic view from the historic watchtower in Nebida.
Cycle along the pristine beaches of Sant'Antioco and enjoy the tranquility.
Visit the dramatic limestone cliffs and beautiful coves at Porto Pino.
Discover the rich mining history of Sulcis-Iglesiente and its UNESCO-listed geoparks.
Enjoy a tasting of the local Carignano del Sulcis wine, surrounded by vineyards.

Your journey begins in Cagliari. Take the opportunity to check out Cagliari's cathedral from the 13th century. Cagliari's national archaeological museum, housed in a former arsenal, displays bronze objects, Roman ceramics and artifacts from the Nuragic age through the Byzantine era. If you're lucky you can see flamingos relaxing in the surrounding ponds.

Pleasant trip, good cycling and most hotels/B&Bs were good/ok. I think you should replace Hotel Jasmine in Teulada (which was otherwise a very nice town) with something else there. This was our 6th trip with you and we'll probably be back again :-) / Thanks / Mikael & Biljana
