Your journey begins in Cagliari. Take the opportunity to check out Cagliari's cathedral from the 13th century. Cagliari's national archaeological museum, housed in a former arsenal, displays bronze objects, Roman ceramics and artifacts from the Nuragic age through the Byzantine era. If you're lucky you can see flamingos relaxing in the surrounding ponds.

After breakfast a private transfer takes you and your bikes to Nebida from where you begin your daily bike tour of approximately 25 km to the port of Portovesme, where you take the ferry to the island of San Pietro. When you dock at Carloforte harbor you soon begin to notice what a different accent the Carlofortini have: in fact they have Genoese roots and speak a different dialect from the rest of the Sardinians. After a walk/tour in Carloforte you take another ferry, this time to Calasetta on the island of Sant'Antioco.

Today is full of possibilities: cycle around the entire island, stop at various inlets for picnics, take a fishing boat excursion or a horseback ride, or just relax on the beach.

This morning your first stop is the village of Tratalias, with its romantic church dedicated to S. Maria di Montserrat. The "ghost village" with only a few renovated stone houses takes you back to the enchanted atmosphere of ancient Tatalia, which was once surrounded by three "baroque arches" (two are still intact), which may have been entrances to the citadel. You then cycle down towards Porto Pino through beautiful countryside and vineyards.

Today is full of alternatives: it is possible to cycle inland, stop at various villages for picnics, for example Sant'Anna Arresi, a lovely little town that has a Nuraghe, called Arresi, in the center of the town between two churches. After the tour you can just relax on Porto Pino's famous sand dunes, small coves with pink sand and crystal clear water.

In the morning your first stop will be the village of Masinas. After a stop at the village of Santadi (home to a famous vineyard) you pass by the fantastic caves Is Zuddas, worth a visit! A quiet road leads you to the day's final stop, Teulada, known for terracotta pipes and very fine embroidery.

This last day is a must for cyclists! Costa del Sud is an endless repetition of ups and downs with fantastic views of the coast and sea, watchtowers and beautiful coves. There are several opportunities to stop and swim in the crystal clear water. The final stop is Pula, just a couple of kilometers outside the town you can visit the archaeological site Nora, an important Phoenician port where it is possible to admire some very well-preserved Roman mosaics.
