The impressive mountain range Hohe Tauern has given its name to the Tauern Cycle Trail – a route that offers spectacular natural scenery and memorable experiences. During your cycling tour, highlights await such as Mozart's charming hometown Salzburg and Europe's largest waterfall, Krimml.
Krimml is a mighty stream born from meltwater from the glaciers. The water flow varies with the seasons, in June and July an impressive 20,000 m³ of water rushes per hour, while in February it's only 500 m³/h, making each visit unique.

Level and standard
The trail runs along quiet roads through the flat valley at Saalach and Salzach, with few and easily manageable climbs. It is consistently well-signposted and follows the valley gently, providing comfortable, relaxing daily stages and safe cycling without stressful traffic.
Accommodation
You stay at hotels or equivalent guesthouses where breakfast is included every morning, for a good start to the day. All rooms have shower/toilet in the room. We offer two variants: Comfort - mix of 3* and 4*, and Charm - only 4*.
