"An old dream on its way to fulfillment. With each rest stop, the views grew with the impressive alpine massif in the background. Larch trees and marmots. After the first long ascent, we passed the tree line. The abundance of herbs was striking and suddenly, at 2200 meters altitude, there she stood before us - the mythical Edelweiss. From the summit Punta Oilletta 2622 meters above sea level, a breathtaking view over the Alps awaited, from Mont Blanc to Matterhorn. We stayed a good while at the summit, in the borderland between dream and reality."

"Our best epictrails experience was cycling from Alicante-Valencia in May 2024. Nice weather and good hotels and luggage that was in place when it should be. Despite good maps, we didn't end up at the lunch restaurant marked on the map that was suggested in Oliva, but instead at a restaurant 10 minutes away, which was just about to open. We were the only guests and they offered us 2 beers for the price of one. When we then got our food, it turned out that wine was included with the meal and a stop that was meant to take about 1 hour took 3-4 hours and ended with a pool swim at the restaurant. Awesome!"
