Romania

Ever since the Romans reached the Black Sea, Romania has been somewhat different from its neighboring countries. Here they speak a Romance language and Bucharest made a name for itself as the Paris of Eastern Europe (Micul Paris) during the early 1900s. The country offers great variety for hiking trips and cycling trips, from the Carpathians in Transylvania to the species-rich Danube Delta. The country feels both modern and archaic and provides a stimulating experience for the most curious hiker and cyclist.
