Slovakia

Slovakia is a small country in the heart of Europe, and around Bratislava, history, nature and several cultures meet in a small area. The charming little capital lies beautifully on the Danube, with cobblestone alleys, baroque palaces, lively outdoor cafés and a castle high above the river. Just outside the city, green landscapes, small villages and easy cycling routes along the Danube take over, with Austria and Hungary just around the corner. Here you'll find both Central European food traditions and a growing wine culture. A little further away, the Tatra Mountains rise with distinctive alpine environments.
