Wine Cycling in Alsace - Short Week

Arrival on your own to Strasbourg. Feel free to visit the city's beautiful historic center after check-in. The city is not only beautiful but also has an interesting history as a border town. Stroll along the cobblestone streets and admire the picturesque half-timbered houses and charming small squares.

You leave central Strasbourg in a pleasant way via a well-signposted cycle path. The cycling to the southwest located town of Obernai takes you past charming villages, beautiful castles and rolling vineyards to the beginning of the "Route des Vins". Today you set off towards Riquewihr, a medieval town located in the heart of the Alsace wine region. This fantastic wine village also has the designation "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France" (one of France's most beautiful villages). The combination of beautiful architecture and world-famous wines gave Riquewihr the nickname "Pearl of Alsace".

Visit beautiful Turckheim, a walled town and take a walk along the half-timbered houses that are so typical of Alsace. Cycle through beautiful wine villages like Kaysersberg and finish your tour in Colmar. You can make today's cycling a bit more challenging with a detour in the area with the five castles.
