After the bikes have been delivered, tested and fine-tuned, you begin your peaceful cycling day through the fields of Castile to Astorga, a city of Roman origin where the Camino crosses Via de la Plata. In this walled city, Gaudí built the archbishop's palace in modernist style.

Today you get to test your legs in the hills around Bierzo to Cruz de Fierro which is located at 1507 meters altitude. Then it's downhill to the village of Molinaseca which is located in the most remote area along the Camino. Some villages with cafés exist though and dinner is included tonight at your accommodation.

A peaceful cycling day of 32 km without major elevation differences to Vilafranca del Bierzo. On the way you pass Ponferrada which was also founded by the Romans. An impressive monument is the Knights Templar castle which was built in the 12th century. After Ponferrada the terrain is a bit more hilly towards Villafranca.

Today it gets a bit tougher as you cycle into Galicia and the last part goes steadily uphill for the last 6 kilometers to O Cebreiro which is a fascinating village full of legends and stories connected to the Camino. Your hotel is located right next to the Romanesque church from the 12th century.

Today you start with some shorter uphill sections before it goes downhill for most of the remaining 35 kilometers. You cycle through green Galician countryside and woodland. You pass the Samos monastery which was founded in the 6th century but has been continuously renovated over the centuries.
