Breakfast
After breakfast the hike starts and since the island is small you can essentially discover the entire island in one day. You first hike on small streets up to the historic part of the island, Terra Murata, from where there is a fantastic view. Then the hike continues to one of Italy's most picturesque places, the small fishing harbor Corricella, known from the movie Il Postino. After that you continue along the southeastern green coastal stretch and arrive at the harbor in Chiaiolella, where there is time for both swimming and rest before you return to your hotel. If you still have energy left, you can continue your hike and discover the small island Vivara which is reached via a footbridge. Hiking time 3 or 4.5 hours.

Breakfast
This morning there is some time for new explorations on Procida before you are driven to the harbor to take the boat to Ischia. A taxi meets you and takes you to the hotel, but we suggest you leave your luggage with the driver and look around the harbor before taking a short walk through the city center to the hotel. The evening is suitably spent at one of the small fish restaurants in Corricella.

Today your hike begins along the island's south coast with terraced vineyards, fantastic lava sculptures and a wonderful view over the Bay of Naples and Capri. The first part goes through rocky terrain through small villages and terraced vineyards laid out just like Asian rice fields. From the village Testaccio you continue downward to a larger sandy beach, Marina dei Maronti. Right next to the beach there are several narrow valleys with hot springs from Roman times. If you have time, feel free to take a dip! Then you continue on the beach toward the fishing village Sant´Angelo, from where you take a local bus back to the hotel.

Today's tour goes over the volcanic mountains that cover the central part of the island. To get up to the heights faster we suggest you take a local bus for the first stretch. You start the hike either in the small village Fiaiano or in the somewhat larger Fontana. From here you go up to Monte Epomeo, the island's highest mountain, and then to Capo dell´Uomo, the second highest. The trails are easy and comfortable to walk on. Through forest and vineyards, past caves and small villages and with views over the sea you go down to Ischia's westernmost village, Forio. After a look at the village itself we suggest a local bus along the north coast back to Ischia's harbor.

Then the hike goes up to the ruins of one of the most impressive houses from Roman times and further to Villa Iovis with its unique location and fantastic view. On the return hike downward toward the untouched southern coast, you will pass naturally formed bridges, caves and finally Faraglioni, the three uninhabited rocky islands.
