Day 1: Arrival in Agerola

Arrival at your peaceful agriturismo in the charming little village of Agerola, beautifully located high above the Amalfi Coast, with views over the Gulf of Salerno. If you arrive early, you can walk a short stretch along the world-famous "Path of the Gods" to take in the first spectacular views.

Day 2: Circular hike Bomerano - Monte Tre Calli - Monte Sant'Angelo - 12 km, +/- 550 m

Today's hike takes you towards the highest peaks of the Amalfi Coast, from where the view may be even more beautiful than from the famous "Sentiero degli Dei". The first part of the hike is a relaxed walk through the charming village of Bomerano, but then the ascent begins. After about an hour of uphill hiking, you reach the ridge "Monte Tre Calli". Then you can choose whether you want to continue the climb up to Monte Sant'Angelo or stop and enjoy a picnic lunch. Then you begin the descent towards the small chapel "Virgin of the Silence", from where the view over Positano is nothing short of magnificent. Along an easy path, you then walk back to your agriturismo.

Day 3: From Bomerano - To Amalfi - 10 km/13 km, +150 m / -800 m

From Bomerano you descend into the green Praia valley, a wonderful landscape of sheer mountain cliffs and terraced vineyards. When you reach the village of San Lazzaro, where you can enjoy a coffee and admire one of the most wonderful panoramic views over the entire Amalfi Coast. From here you continue your hike downward, now along one of the oldest paths in the maritime republic of Amalfi, "Maestra dei Villaggi". You pass the village of Tovere and then reach the small village of Vettica Minore. From here you have the option to either continue on foot to Amalfi or go down to the beach at Santa Croce and then make the short transfer to Amalfi by boat.

Day 4: Circular hike Ravello & Pontone - 11 km, +/- 850 m

Today you can either walk or take the local bus to the charming historic village of Ravello, a highlight of the Amalfi Coast. We recommend walking the first very scenic stretch to the beautiful little town of Atrani, with fantastic views over the town center. Then you can either take the bus, or follow Valle del Dragone up to Ravello. You can take your time strolling through Ravello, before walking back down to the coast.

Day 5: Hike in "Valle delle Ferriere" - 10 km, +250 m / -600 m

Today you make a spectacular circular hike in one of southern Italy's most fantastic nature reserves, "Valle delle Ferriere". From Amalfi you first take the bus to Scala. From here you first go to the village of Minuta, from where you have fantastic views over Amalfi, Ravello and Atrani. Then you climb up a staircase and enter the Valle delle Ferriere nature reserve. You will see spectacular landscapes, walk along comfortable walkways under the high cliffs and pass close to some small waterfalls. Finally you make your way down to Amalfi, among lemon groves and maquis, with fine views over the valley.

Day 6: From Amalfi - To Praiano - 10 km, +/- 600 m

From Amalfi you take a local bus to the Santa Rosa monastery, which saves you 300 meters of uphill climbing. The hike from here first goes to the charming little village of Conca dei Marini. The route goes down to the coast again and follows the coastline along some charming churches beautifully situated above the rocky beach. You now descend into the lower part of the spectacular Furore fjord, with its charming fishing village under the high limestone cliffs. From here you walk along the Sant'Elia church into the Praia valley and then to the coastal town of Praiano.

Day 7: Hike along "Sentiero degli Dei" - 9 km, +/- 400 m

Breakfast

You begin your hike in Praiano's picturesque whitewashed alleys. Then, along a medieval pilgrimage route, you walk upward towards the San Domenico monastery. Here you can rest a bit before continuing the climb upward, through spectacular landscapes with bizarre rock formations. Soon you reach one of Italy's most famous hiking trails, "Sentiero degli Dei", or "Path of the Gods". You soon come to the small village of Montepertuso. After that it's just a short walk down to Positano, one of the coast's most charming villages. There's plenty of time to explore or perhaps take a dip before returning by local bus to Praiano.
