Morning transfer to the foot of Pico de la Nieve at 2039 meters altitude. Today's hike follows the edge of the enormous Caldera de Taburiente. Then awaits a long descent along Camino Real, through pine forests and the El Reventón area, to the chapel Virgen del Pino. From here you continue a few kilometers to the national park's visitor center and take local bus to Los Llanos de Aridane. Here the local life thrives in a historic and beautiful urban environment.

Transfer to Los Brecitos, in the middle of the national park. You hike down to the Taburiente river bed and onwards towards the legendary rock Roque Idafe, sacred to the island's indigenous population. Here is also the colorful waterfall, colored by minerals and sulfur. Taxi takes you back to Los Llanos. In extreme heat or fire risk the crater is closed; then an alternative circular hike from Las Tricias to Buracas is offered, short but very varied.

After lunch you take local bus back to Los Llanos.

Breakfast
The journey's finale becomes a real classic: Ruta de los Volcanes between Virgen del Pilar and Fuencaliente. The trail is open again after the eruption in Cumbre Vieja 2021 and gives a strong insight into nature's creative and destructive forces. If the distance feels too long you can choose a shorter variant towards Fuencaliente's lighthouse. In the afternoon you take local bus back to Santa Cruz, where your luggage awaits.
Breakfast
After breakfast the journey ends. Transfer to the airport is included, unless you choose to extend the stay with extra nights.
