The hiking week kicks off with a classic. You hike through a fantastic undulating landscape with trails through lush meadows, idyllic heaths and vast forests. From Lake Schwarzee you continue along traditional farms to glittering ponds. During the hike you can enjoy the impressive view of the Wilder Kaiser massif as a backdrop.

Day 3: Circular hike Kitzbüheler Horn - 14 km, +200m / -1350m

By cable car you take yourself up to Kitzbüheler Horn, the highest peak in the middle of this fantastic mountain world. Here you can take time to fully enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view over the surrounding mountain ranges and countless peaks. In the alpine flower garden you can marvel at more than 300 different alpine plants from around the world. You then make your way down towards the valley over meadows and past the idyllic alps, a panoramic hike at its best!

Day 4: Circular hike Griesbach gorge - 11 km, +500m / -500m

A short bus ride takes you to Erpfendorf where you will hike into the wild Griesbach gorge for an extensive circular hike. You walk over impressive chain bridges and adventurous walkways, sometimes just an inch above the water, while exploring the gorge. Along the Jägersteig you hike up to the picturesque mountain hut "Huberalm", we recommend that you take a break here and enjoy a hearty alpine meal. Via a forest path you then go down to the banks of the river Großache which leads you on to the picturesque little village of St Johann.

Day 5: Circular hike St James Way - 15 km, +200m / -500m

Today you hike in the footsteps of pilgrims along the Tyrolean St James Way. Through the Öfenschlucht gorge you reach the historic pilgrimage church St Adolari and then all the way down to the shore of the turquoise Lake Pillersee. Steinberg's barren mountain peaks guide you to Flecken where you take a chairlift up to the mountain "Buchensteinwand". Up at 1450 meters altitude you find the cross "Jakobskreuz" together with a mountain chapel and a panoramic viewing platform. You then make your way back down into the valley before ending the day's hike.

Day 6: Circular hike Sintersbacher waterfall - 11 km, +500m / -500m

At the end of your hiking week awaits a real natural treasure. From Jochberg you climb up to the Sintersbach waterfalls which cascade over a height of 85 meters over steep rocks. Take in nature's unbridled power before you continue your descent into the valley via the impressive Drachensteig trail, inspired and charged with energy.
