Arrival at Lisbon airport and continue to the hotel on your own. Depending on when you arrive, you can take a walk through the city's charming black and white mosaic streets, ride the classic tram or walk up to a viewpoint with a magnificent panoramic view over the capital and the Tagus River – where you can almost imagine the galleons that returned from Brazil, Mozambique and China long ago.

Accommodation in Lisbon.

We can recommend:
- Adding an extra night in Lisbon and enjoying walking through the charming streets by the Tagus River.
- Taking tram number 28 for a lively tour of Lisbon's historic neighborhoods.
- Visiting São Jorge Castle, which offers a fantastic panoramic view over the city and the Tagus River.

Day 2: Évora and Aguas de Prata Aqueduct

13km, +200 m/-200m

Breakfast

Train or bus from Lisbon to Évora (approx. 1.5 hours): The journey begins with a spectacular passage over the Tagus River via the "25th of April" bridge, before the landscape opens up with "montado" forests and cork plantations stretching out towards Évora. From the train station in Évora, you take a short transfer of about 15 minutes to the starting point for today's walk.

You follow the "Silver Water Aqueduct" through the beautiful landscape. Centuries-old olive trees, orange and almond trees line the gardens of the charming Alentejo houses. The walk ends inside Évora, within the city walls, where you can visit iconic monuments such as the Temple of Diana, the cathedral or the Bone Chapel.

We can recommend:
- Exploring Évora on foot after the walk to experience the city's charm and historical attractions.

Day 3: Valverde / Almendres

12km, +300 m/-100 m

Breakfast

Short taxi transfer (approx. 20 minutes) to the small village of Valverde with its traditional, colorful houses. The hiking trail is lined with vineyards and centuries-old cork oaks and leads you to Zambujeiro, the largest dolmen site on the Iberian Peninsula – the largest stone slab is almost 8 meters long! Country roads take you further to the village of Guadalupe, and then the path begins up towards the Almendres menhir and cromlech, located on a spectacular panoramic site. This is one of Portugal's most beautiful megalithic sites. Finally, you take a taxi back to Évora (approx. 20 minutes).

Accommodation in Évora.

We can recommend:
- Visiting the Bone Chapel, the city's gardens or the Manueline palace from the 16th century.
- Enjoying a glass of local Alentejo wine at enoteca Cartuxa or at Piazza Giraldo.

Day 4: Ossa / Ossa Convent

6-15km, +/-100–600 m

Breakfast, lunchbox

Transfer to Serra d'Ossa. In a lush landscape, a convent rises on the slopes of the Ossa massif. Built during the 18th century on top of a sanctuary from the 12th century, the Ossa convent houses an outstanding cultural heritage, including the country's largest private collection of azulejos with a total of 54,000 pieces.

The hike (several options: short, medium or long) takes you through the convent's gardens and along fountains before the path leads up through forest groves to the panoramic summit São Gens. Through shady hills and valleys you reach a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary, one of the region's most important pilgrimage sites, before returning to the convent.

Day 5: Terena / Terena Lake / Terena

12km, +/- 200 m

Breakfast, lunchbox

Transfer to the fortified village of Terena. The castle takes us back to the time of the independence struggles against neighboring Spain. It is a well-preserved building that offers a fantastic panoramic view over the rolling landscape. The flower-decorated streets and alleys lead to the medieval chapel Senhora da Boa Nova, and from there the path continues through the beautiful Alentejo landscape, rich in flowers and trees, to the small Lake Terena.

The day ends with a 20-minute taxi transfer to your accommodation in Monsaraz – one of the country's most spectacular fortified villages, dramatically located on a height overlooking the vast Lake Alqueva.

Day 6: Monsaraz / Alqueva Lake and Orada Convent

9km, +/- 500 m

Breakfast

The village of Monsaraz is a real gem, with its medieval alleys, its fortress and its viewpoints over the mighty Lake Alqueva – Europe's largest artificial lake. The dam was created for irrigation and hydroelectric power production at the Guadiana River, which forms a natural border with Spain.

The old paths, lined with cistus, rosemary and lavender, lead to Lake Alqueva via a lookout tower. Here there is an opportunity to take a break at a sandy beach on the lake shore before the path continues towards the Orada convent and an impressive Iron Age cromlech. The return to Monsaraz takes place along a medieval cobbled road.
