Breakfast
Today you can choose between two different options. The first is an easy cycling stage from Reggio Emilia to Parma through the open agricultural landscape on quiet roads where you can enjoy the peaceful countryside and the many small villages.
If you want a slightly more varied day, you can instead take the train to Fidenza and from there follow parts of the historic pilgrimage route Via Francigena. The route offers a more hilly landscape and a journey through areas with long cultural history before you reach Parma.
Regardless of which option you choose, Parma awaits – a city that for many symbolizes the best of Italian gastronomy. Here you can end the day with Prosciutto di Parma, Parmigiano Reggiano, and perhaps a glass of local wine at one of the city's many pleasant restaurants.

Breakfast
The last cycling day takes you out on a beautiful round trip from Parma to the small village of Torrechiara. The road goes through a classic Italian landscape with vineyards, rolling hills of golden grain and green groves and small farms where the pace is calm and the views constantly change.
In Torrechiara, the village is dominated by the impressive medieval castle Castello di Torrechiara, which is well worth a visit. For those who want a slightly bigger challenge, there's the possibility to add an extra loop over the hills. The reward is even wider views over Emilia-Romagna's landscape and a more demanding but very scenic bike ride.
After the round trip, you return to Parma for the journey's last evening, when it's perfect to enjoy the city's restaurants or stroll through the historic neighborhoods one last time.
Breakfast
After breakfast, it's time to bid farewell to Emilia-Romagna and Italy's Food Valley. The journey ends after breakfast if you haven't booked any extra nights. If time allows, a final walk through Parma or a visit to one of the city's market halls is recommended before the journey home, where you can buy parmesan cheese, balsamic vinegar, or other local specialties as a flavorful memory from the week.
